Some the Top Scorers and Midfielders Playing in the 2010 Soccer World Cup One man doesn't make a team, but as you watch the 2010 Soccer World Cup keep in mind that players like Drogba (Ivory Coast), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Messi and Tevez (Argentina), Rooney, Lampard, Bent and Defoe (England), Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Fabregas, David Villa and Torres (Spain) are game changers who are a threat to score or create scoring opportunities in any match. Below are some videos of their top goals and plays. They are all great, but Droga and Messi are amazingly talented, creative and impossible to shut down. As a group, England's scorers are very impressive and Rooney, Bent and Defoe are very fast. However, keep in mind that the number of substitutions is limited to 3 per game, so players can't be subbed as they can in American football. Although not the favorite (they are picked 4th behind Spain, Brazil and Argentina), I think England has a good chance this year. Be Warned - Some of these videos have loud Rap Music, you might want to turn it down. He's the only player who can change direction at such a pace. He is the best player in the world by some distance. He's (like) a PlayStation. He can take advantage of every mistake we make." Arsne Wenger, the Arsenal coach/manager, after Barcelona beat Arsenal 41 with Messi scoring all 4 goals (April 6, 2010 in the Champions League quarter-final second leg).
